ESPN.com, citing sources on both sides, reported negotiations took place Tuesday and lasted into the night. One source said there is now “a path to a deal.”

Both sides considered the prospect of a lockout a “hard deadline,” according to ESPN’s sources.

According to the report, negotiations will resume early next week after the Thanksgiving holiday. That will give the sides four to five days to hammer out a deal before the deadline.
